Circular Economy - A Systematic Approach!

Date Published: June 18, 2021

Circular Economy

Circular Economy is a systematic approach to economic development that is intended to benefit businesses, society, and the environment. It is restorative or regenerative by intention and design. Truth is, circular economy is based on the idea that there is no such thing as waste. To achieve this, products are designed to last and optimized for a cycle of dismantling and reusing that will make it easier to transform them into new products.

Principle includes:

(1) Designing out waste & pollution,

(2) Keeping products & materials in use, and

(3) Regenerate natural systems.

To attain a solid circular design for a circular economy, “zooming in” on how the users use products and “zooming out” to a systems perspective (how this affect every part of the supply chain, is there any way to reduce the waste is there any ways to keep this product in use and is there a way to generate natural systems) should come first.
